Dar Al-Taqwa was formed in August, 1992, by the local Muslim leadership as a community-based nonprofit organization.
The institution serves the local Muslim and non-Muslim community in Howard County, Maryland and society at large through the promotion of goodwill, unity and understanding.
We are a religious, educational, non-profit, non-political organization.
Our community center provides the five daily prayers, including 2 Friday Jummah prayers, educational talks and seminars, weekend schools, various programs & workshops (i.e., youth, interfaith, outreach, etc.), summer camp, weddings, funeral services, and many other community events & projects throughout the year presented from various Dar Al-Taqwa Committees organized by our diverse group of volunteers.
Dar Al-Taqwa strives to be a welcoming place for everyone and all are invited to use the facility for their social, educational, and spiritual needs.
