Ibn Abbas and she, may God be pleased with them, said: “Mosques are God’s houses on earth, they give light to the people of heaven, just as the stars give light to the people of earth.” Amr Maymun Al-Awdi, may God have mercy on him, said: “I realized that the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: Mosques are the houses of God on earth, and it is God’s right to honor those who visit Him in them, adhere to His law in them, and choose them above filth and polytheism.”
