Yemen Cuisine is the national cuisine of Yemen. Largely distinct from the more widely known Middle Eastern cuisines, it is unique and coherent, if characterized by a degree of regional variation. Although some foreign influences are evident in some regions of the country

This is that type of 10/10 hole in the wall restaurant. It’s not in the best neighborhood, but the quality of the food is much better than most established middle eastern restaurants, and you can tell the food is made with love. Plus, Yemeni cuisine is also super unique compare to other middle eastern food! I encourage everybody to give it a try!

This place is such a hidden gem and deserves more recognition! The roasted lamb dish is a MUST TRY. Every piece was succulent and flavorful, and I loved that it came with pita bread, a spicy sauce, rice, salad, and a veggie stew. I will for sure return to try the lamb soup!

WOW!!! Probably one of the best places I’ve eaten in all of America in 20+ years. Authentic, humble, homemade, delicious, no-frills, delicious, fresh, homemade, delicious. I didn’t think I would like the Saltah based on my Google search but I was blown away. The roasted lamb was also great. You can tell the owner places great care into preparing the food. It tastes made with love. You can also tell he is really hard-working, busting his butt back in the kitchen and taking every order & checking out every guest when he could easily hire someone to do it. He should be charging $10 more per dish with the way it tastes and how it’s prepared. Must visit.

Food was very good. If you haven't had Yemeni food, it's time to give it a try. Different from other Middle Eastern restaurants. Tawa bread is amazing. Lots of meat dishes. Big platters of rice and chicken lamb or beef. Beef stew called Saltah. Seating for about 8 people, also good for carryout. Not great for vegan or gluten free dishes. Online ordering options seem to have more vegetarian choices.

I would give 10 stars if I could! This humble little place is rich in flavor and hospitality. Servings are generous. The person at the front desk was welcoming and friendly, and fun to talk to. I’m vegetarian, but my partner ordered the roast lamb (they definitely recommend it) which came with the most delicious vegetables ever! I also had the yemeni bread with a kind of salsa/cilantro pico de gallo sauce, which was yummy. And the chai was bomb! Highly recommend taking a detour to this hidden gem!
