5 years agoThis place is a solid 3.84 and the interior is decorated in a 'hole in the wall' facade. Located on the south side of Irving St. between 22nd and 23rd Avenue, this is the definition of a no frills joint. Service was quick. We ordered a kufta kebob (lamb/beef) plate, chicken kabob plate and a greek salad with chicken. My wife gave the salad a 3.7, I gave the kufta dish a solid 4 (we saved the last plate for later). All in all a decent meal, felt clean after eating it (food was not greasy). Would recommend, we'll be visiting again in the future. Parking on Irving can be an issue, depending on the time of day.

5 months agoI used to go to SunrisebDeli all the time. So, I was excited to go there after being away from home in San Francisco for over 20 years there used to be an older lady that ran the place, and she was always so nice to me and my best friend, we even took pictures with her, which I still have. However, the man working there now is really gruff and unfriendly. He looked like my daughter and I were bothering him for being there. We ordered spinach triangle and it was a little stale. The falafel looked really good, but we were not that hungry.

2 years agoMy experience eating at Sunrise Deli were delightful. The owner is very generous and so easy to communicate with. I visited the deli/diner for the Falafels and i am overwhelmed by the fluffy, flavorful, and textured Falafels. The deli has 6 tables which accommodate up to 4 individuals. I particularly enjoyed the variety of deserts. The deli is a gem on Irving Street especially if you are near Golden Gate Park. I highly recommend a visit.

3 months agoExpensive bland liquidy hummus. Tasted like puréed tahini, beans and salt water. I don't even like spicy or overly seasoned hummus and this stuff was *very* subpar and bland. The falafels are good here, koftas are decent, baklava is hit or miss and way overpriced.

3 years agoI ordered the large shawarma plate for takeout. The only thing large about this was the half empty aluminum container. It was $17 plus tip for what looks like someone else’s leftovers. The toddler-sized portion I was able to enjoy was good. But not $18 good.
