I’ve been terrified of getting a new doctor since moving to LB, but Dr Samawi has truly been outstanding and is a unique find. Being gay and latino, I’ve had doctors make assumptions about my health without even checking my charts based on who I am. Dr. Samawi did nothing of the sort and really turned a page for me with doctors. He greeted me with kindness and compassion, asked sensitive questions gently, and asked before making assumptions. I feel like he both truly cares about my holistic health and values my own observations about my body as an input into his diagnoses. He takes the time to explain his thinking and his approach to my healthcare. I would highly recommend Dr. Samawi. He makes going to the doctor so much easier.

I have been a patient of Dr. Samawi for one year. I delayed providing a review because I wanted to make sure he was consistent with each visit. Best doctor ever!! Dr. Samawi always listens and is very compassionate. I don't like going to the doctor, but who really does? I do now. He has helped me both physically and mentally. I am grateful to have him as my physician. The staff is awesome too.

The doctor was nice and seemed like he cared. But....He had me do bloodwork at Quest. Quest told me I didn't need an appointment when I called. When I arrived at 8am the next available spot was 1:30pm. That's no eating for another 5 hours. I called the doctor's office to ask for help and they were speechless. The front desk doesn't care at all. Second experience was even worse. I needed my prescription filled. I tried to fill it online at the patient portal but my pharmacy wasn't added. I definitely gave them the information when I was at the office. I had to call in and the receptionist hung up on me. When I called back they simply told me the doctor is out of town and can't help me for another five days. No Rx, no doctor and rude front desk help. I am thankful they helped me decide to dump my current insurance and go with Kaiser. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. Absolutely terrible.

I have been going to Dr. Samawi for over five years or so, and he’s awesome. His staff is great too. He does an incredible job at listening and figuring out a solution. His staff makes it easy to do an appointment and they’re consistently friendly. I definitely recommend Dr. Samawi.
