“Pita & Salt” is a commonly used proverb/phrase in Egypt. It means that we’ve shared good things together, shared a life of experiences (both the good and the bad), and we have strong bonds that won’t break easily. We selected this name because we hope to build strong bonds with our customers who will always come back to us and enjoy our exceptional food.

my honey and I went here for his birthday dinner and every single item knocked out socks off, even the chips and salsa! we started off with margaritas (regular and cucumber) which were massive, strong and genuinely tasty, Quemaditas for our app which were pulled with meat, super flavorful, and came with habanero sauce and pickled beets. we got the candy shots flight with our dinner and they were definitely sweet but not sickeningly sweet with artificial flavors, and a fish taco and a variety of enchiladas for dinner most of which I was too tipsy to really appreciate but we left stuffed and happy! were from out of town and all we can think about is how our Mexican restaurant at home is gonna suck compared to this place. 10/10

You need to check out Pita & Salt. Seriously, not only is the food DELICIOUS, but Mo and Chef Fafy are an absolute pleasure to work with! With so many great food options in this world, sometimes the thing that sets apart a business is the people behind the counter and that is absolutely true with Pita & Salt. I can't say enough about how great Mo and Chef Fafy were to see at our event all weekend! We reached out because we were hosting a large, academic event in Union City. Thousands of hungry high school kids who needed to eat for two days and Mo came to the rescue. Not only is he an absolute pleasure to work with as we were planning the event, but he was just a lovely person to say hi to throughout the weekend (between him feeding swarms of hungry people, that is!). The nicest thing was that I reached out to Mo very last minute and he was responsive and tremendously accommodating. I actually love Egyptian food and have traveled to Egypt several times. So, I was (selfishly) very excited that we were able to book Pita & Salt to come out to our event this weekend. I had the Kofta Plate, which came with flavorful rice, a great salad, and- of course- phenomenal kofta. The kofta had a great flavor and was seasoned perfectly (I've noticed that in the US, often times kofta can be a bit bland-- that was NOT the case here!). So, if you're looking for a great meal: definitely find Pita & Salt. If you're planning an event or need catering, you absolutely cannot go wrong reaching out to Mo. He's quick to respond, easy to work with, and such a tremendously nice person. Oh, and of course, the food is awesome!

Very good Egyptian traditional food. I think only one in south bay area. The bad think is that the place is very small and the owner working alone most of the time, whick makes service very very slow and not able to service even small groups. Google maps location is incorrect, it will drop you 0.1 ~ 0.2 miles away, go inside the plaza and the shop is beside the big grocery store. Hope the owner resolves the slow service issue, so that I cab go again.

Very interesting take on the cuisine. This place is really good for authentic and flavorful food. Great for anybody who likes or hasn't yet tried Egyptian food.

The shawarma was cold and did not taste good. Meat was dry and too much dressing. The pits bread was dry and fell apart. Could not finish it.
