Dr. Al-Rahawan is a Board-Certified Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physician. He has clinical expertise in treating childhood cancer and blood disorders. His research experience includes the expression of cell cycle markers in inherited marrow failures, the impact of anemia on the quality of life in children receiving cancer treatment, hematological anomalies in diabetic children. He completed his Doctorate at Damascus University Medical School in Damascus, Syria. He completed his Masters's in Public Health at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He finished his Pediatric Residency at St. John Medical Center in Detroit, MI, and his Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
