The root of the word Islam in Arabic means peace (Silm or Salam). The word ‘Islam’, also
means submission to the One God, as well as living in harmony with other people and with the environment. Therefore, a Muslim is a person whose obedience, allegiance and loyalty are to God, Lord of the Universe, and who strives to live in accordance with God’s laws.
The language of the Quran, the Holy Book of Islam, is Arabic. Muslims all over the world try to learn Arabic so that they may be able to read the Quran and understand its meaning. They pray in the language of the Quran, but supplications to God may be in any language.

11 months agoGreat mosque! We prayed jumaa here on the way to Lake Tahoe. I recommend that the mosque advertise for their jumaa prayer times. Friday first Jumaa: 1:00 pm Friday 2nd Jumaa: 2:00 pm

11 months agoThis is one of the best Masjid you can ever go to yet there is one bad part it's that the owner/Imam is kind of slow during taraweh but they switch with a faster one

a year agoOne of the best Masjid I went so far. Being only one Masjid in Modesto it gets too crowded during Juma prayer. They have lots of community engagement program and kids school. Very good and informative khutba.
