Dr. Sara Khalid Mahmood

Dr. Sara Mahmood is the Founder & Owner of brush365, a practice she built around the philosophy of providing "Dentistry with Integrity". Dr. Mahmood is a proud Texan. She grew up in Plano, TX where she graduated from Plano West Senior High School. She then went on to get her dual degree in Biology and Neuroscience with a Minor in Political Science from UT Dallas, graduating with CV Honors and Magna Cum Laude. From there, she went to Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (formerly known as Baylor) in Downtown Dallas where she was heavily involved in leadership in all levels. She served as President of the local chapter for the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), the District Media Chair for ASDA, and the National Treasurer for the Student National Dental Association during her time in dental school. She did her research in dental school at UIC School of Dentistry in Chicago where she studied the effects of stress on wound healing. She also spent some time doing Mission Work in Guatemala, providing free dental care for those in need. On the night of her graduation from dental school, Dr. Mahmood began her studies at the Jindal School of Management and received her Masters in Healthcare Management a year later.

After spending a few years as an Associate Dentist for a few practices in DFW, Dr. Mahmood opened brush365 in April 2017 with the promise to provide Dentistry with Integrity to everyone who came through her doors. Over the years, she learned that some of her best patients worked traditional hours. This is why she decided to make brush365 a company that would strive to provide convenient hours with appointments in the early morning, late evening, and even on the weekends!

Dr. Mahmood has completed a rigorous year-long continuum in dental implantology and spent one week in the Dominican Republic placing over 40 implants for patients in need. She was also awarded her Fellowship in the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Mahmood also passed a challenging exam and completed over 500 hours of continuing education which allowed her to receive her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry – an accolade that less than 7% of dentists boast in Texas. Dr. Mahmood is Invisalign certified and will be completing a two-year residency for general dentists to place traditional straight wire orthodontics in order to broaden what she is able to offer her patients who need to straighten their teeth.

In her free time, Dr. Mahmood enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Gill, and their two beautiful boys, Isa & Adam. Together they love to travel the world, try new restaurants, cook at home (thanks, COVID!) and just cherish each other's company. She lives in Frisco, TX and is a proud member of the Leadership Frisco Class 24 where she hopes to take what she learns about civic duty and apply it to become a leader in the city.
