I've been here many times. Had my brain surgery and came out a new man. I do all my appts and mri procedures here at this location. Beyond my stay, the hospital is growing. In the last 10 years they have completely remodeled and up ended all the important facilities. From new machines, to new buildings, to better parking, to mobile units to accommodate new tech to friendly people and super professional associates, I can say that uci has grown into a fine facility.

I was in labor it took from 8am and to 12 pm to get an epidural... I was already dilated to 6 cm by then. After that they come check me I'm fully dilated my water didn't pop. They pop my water and I have to wait 30 min to an hour to push my child out. During that time frame the baby started to have a dropped heart beat. We took an ultrasound before they popped my water mind you no cord was around the neck. To save my child as much as I can.. I had to keep flipping and when my baby came out the cord was around his neck 3x's and then once around his stomach. Wow and they tell me baby was playing in there. Lol. No they almost killed my child. He came out not breathing or heartbeat. I was so scared and shocked. I don't trust them at all.

The doctors here are amazing. I am disabled and chronically ill so I go here a lot. I've seen many many doctors and nurses here and everyone is super sweet to me. One thing I LOVE about everyone here is that they actually believe me everytime I tell them anything. It makes me feel heard and seen. Before going here, doctors elsewhere never believed me but at UCI, they really care about me and my health. They are super understanding of my disability too and I am able to have my caretaker with me at my appointments as well. I would never go anywhere else. I'm forever grateful for them!!!

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. If you want peace of mind, RUN. It is unacceptable to be needing a medical procedure and have to deal with ridiculous basic administrative issues. This is a culture in the entire hospital, not just 1 dept: they have a can't-do attitude, don't want to help, are self-righteous, condescending and rude. They basically do and say whatever they want whenever they want, not realizing that if WE don't USE their services, these nasty losers don't have a job. It is CRYSTAL CLEAR there is NO accountability and therefore, no management. Ignore the responses from the office below the negative reviews here, they are clearly unwilling to make any changes. I had to be transferred to "patient relations" to complain because the rep at the interventional radiology dept was completely dismissive (and hung up in my face THREE times IN A ROW), and finally have my NON-issue which became an issue (booking a SIMPLE APPOINTMENT with a radiologist), resolved. That dept, which is meant to facilitate communication, is even MORE rude and MORE unhelpful (she claimed to be "Norma" but i doubt it). They hang up in your face and refuse to transfer you to a supervisor. Absolutely unbecoming of a facility that respects itself. Again: RUN.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of care my mother received at UCI Medical Center. Despite being a cancer patient in severe pain, she was left waiting for an unreasonably long time without any communication from the staff. The lack of basic amenities such as water for the patient is unacceptable. My mother's pain was only addressed after hours of waiting, and it's fortunate they finally administered morphine, as otherwise, her discomfort would have been unbearable. Furthermore, the attitude of the nursing staff was appalling. They displayed rudeness and a sense of entitlement, acting as if they were above providing compassionate care. Overall, my experience with UCI Medical Center has been extremely disappointing, and I would caution others against seeking treatment there.
