I worked here on 5 West as a travel nurse from December until now. They have treated me and other travel nurses very terrible. The manager Ed and charge nurses have purposely lied and profiled me many times at work to say I’ve not completed my duties on the job. I’ve had to many times defend my character to the manager Ed, with proof, that I’ve completed all of my duties at work. They micro manage and profile their nurses to get them in trouble so that they can be let go or fired from the position. They care more about charting than actually caring for the patients. Very unsafe place to work, they barely have CNAs and make the nurses do all the work for the same pay. The charge nurses and clinical manager report you without having a conversation with the nurse first. I would highly advise to not work here.

I came here for what I thought was a minor issue, it turned out to be a ginormous cyst. I cannot even begin to explain the empathy I was given from all staff and support through very concerning news. I am scheduled for surgery exactly 1 week later and couldn’t be more thankful for the proactive team who didn’t turn my abdominal pain away and were so incredibly thorough.

Very sad to have experienced suck a bad treatment from the hospital due to my insurance issues that I resolved 🤦🏻‍♀️ I appreciate most of the nurses, especially Karmen, Sarah and Rosario. I had very painful injuries and they made the cast so tight that my toe can’t move up anymore, the Doctors told me the movement will come with time 🤦🏻‍♀️Food was bad, very unfortunate because 13 years ago that my daughter was born there it was AMAZING. I hope Kaiser get better ❤️‍🩹

I was recently a patient there following a pelvic fracture from a fall on a hike. I had been taken to Palomar first being they are a trauma center. I spent the entire day without adequate pain relief and was then transferred to Zion where I was given IV Dilaudid in the first five minutes and finally had pain relief. After being admitted about midnight, I recieved excellent nursing care. My best nurse was Yolanda who finally gave me a bed bath after being there a few days and my body was still covered in dirt from my fall and having to turn myself over on the ground. Also was airlifted by helicopter which also blew dirt all over me. My hair also full of dirt and twigs. She cleaned me and my hair and was so attentive to my pain as well. I would suddenly go to pain level of 8 and was prompt with my IV pain med. She was also funny.

My experience at Kaiser Zion Emergency Room was not great. I went to the ER due to post nasal surgery instructions from Kaiser to report to ER for excessive bleeding. The wait was at least an hour before getting into the er bay where they paged ENT at least 4 times. ENT came 2 hours after the last page and began treating me at which point I fainted; however, once lost consciousness every nurse and doctor in the ER provided excellent care! I have always given Kaiser emergency care poor reviews because of this but having changed jobs and now go to Sharp I would rather Kaiser staff pick me up off the floor!
