Dr. Abdullah M. Omari, MD

Dr. Omari graduated from the University of Baghdad College of Medicine in 1985. He works in Canton, MI and 4 other locations and specializes in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Omari is affiliated with John Dingell VA Medical Center.

Abdullah Omari, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in adult reconstruction. He specializes in the surgical and non-surgical care of injuries, including arthritic and inflammatory conditions of the lower limb. He commonly performs arthroscopy, hip and knee arthroplasty with the use of robotic-assisted techniques, hip resurfacing, and fracture fixation. All while keeping the patient included in the decision-making process and catering to their goals and preferences.

Dr. Omari obtained his medical degree from The University of Baghdad Medical School and completed his orthopedic residency training in the Southwest region of the United Kingdom during which he spent a year in Baltimore, Maryland as an adult reconstruction fellow. He worked as an attending in the United Kingdom until he was recruited by Wayne State University’s Orthopedic Program based at Taylor Michigan, which has since merged with the Beaumont Royal Oak Orthopedic residency program. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Omari is heavily involved with the orthopedic residency program and research, with an interest in technology and joint replacement. He obtained his American Board of Orthopedic surgery certification in 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing sports, including soccer and cycling.
