Christopher Edward Salem, DO

Dr. Salem has been my Mom’s physician for 4 years now. He’s very personable and we always felt heard & understood. He see’s her at Foothill Medical center and even came to the nursing home she had to go to temporarily for rehab on her hip. Any time we go to the office, his staff is very friendly and help us sort out insurance / prescription coverage.

This review is specifically for the front desk or whoever picks up phone calls: Aileen. Every time you try to call the office she picks up. Incredibly rude and arrogant. She doesn’t listen to your questions nor answers them properly. I have made appointments multiple times in the end to find out that she never scheduled them. You only have a job because of patients, least you can do is be a bit kinder and more helpful.

ZERO STARTS WORST SERVICE EVER!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! You would think Irvine top of the line.... extremely unprofessional, communication is horrible. They hung up on me multiple times.... kept me on hold for 5 minutes hoping I would hang up sent me to their VM which was supposedly full so you can't leave a message..... i called back rung once and they hung up again.... I called back they put me on hold again.... I am truly disappointed... if they don't need the patients then say so instead of wasting our time. How are you supposed to trust someone with your health when they can't even take a phone call.

I wish I could grade it as a zero stars. The waiting line was 2 hours at the lobby . And receptions are rude and took their time . It took her 50 min just to give a paperwork for a new patient.

I had one of the worst experiences while being a patient here. It was to the point where I was in tears and feeling beyond hopeless. After reaching a tipping point where I have never been before, I left a 1 star review. “Shockingly” enough, I received a phone call from the office shortly after the review went live. A call that I was supposed to have received a month prior. We spoke our peace, but nothing was truly resolved. I pushed forward as I was hoping to get a medical concern that I have had for years resolved and feeling ignorantly positive that the call meant a positive change was coming. Only a few short days later, I had my first phone consult with Dr. Salem to go over labs. I honestly cannot believe what this man did on this call. He brought up the google review and started to berate me about it. He did not even ask me to explain what happened or get my feedback on the situation that occurred. He brought something up about the phone system which had absolutely nothing to do with what the problem was that occurred in his office. If I had a pleasant conversation with Salem then I would have been so relieved to be making progress and would have removed the review. Instead, this doctor acted more unprofessional than anyone I have worked with in the medical field. After harassing me about the review, his office then dropped me as a patient. You will also notice that he removed my original review. I will never let down the way this doctor made me feel and I only hope he never makes another feel the same.
