I currently work as Chief Counsel to the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee which is committed to coordinating the response to and exercising oversight over all Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Funds. Previously, I worked as legal counsel to the NASA, Inspector General fighting crime, fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement in NASA programs. Upon graduation from law school, I specialized in employment law at a small private company and worked in employment/labor law at the US Postal Service. However, the foundation of my professional career was forged in the US Army where I served as a Paratrooper, Intelligence Specialist and Interrogator, and Arabic Linguist specializing in North Africa/Middle East. I also served as a Commissioned Officer in the Military Police Corps. As a combat veteran of two armed conflicts, I developed discipline and learned leadership skills based on the theory that "leadership is servant-ship."

In addition, I learned strategic planning and developed a commitment to teamwork and respect for my superiors, peers, and subordinates alike. Most importantly, I learned ethical standards and the fulfillment of committing to something larger than oneself. That commitment continues as I alter my gaze from discovering life on the Red Planet to sustaining life and ending a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic here on the Blue Planet.

I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and I'm a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. In addition, I earned my Mediation/ADR certification from Northwestern University.

My personal interests are all sports, reading, painting, exercise/fitness, the performing arts and music. My favorite music is Jazz, Hip-hop, and Neo-soul. My favorite actor is Anthony Hopkins. My favorite author is James Baldwin and my favorite TV series of all-time is Game of Thrones.
