In 1981, the original Anita's Kitchen opened up in Tally Hall, an innovative food court development in Farmington Hills, MI. Southeastern Michigan was introduced to the new and exciting flavors of Lebanese cuisine thanks to the pioneering efforts of Anita & Pierre. With the success of the Farmington Hills location, Anita & Pierre developed a second location in Troy, MI. Both of these locations operated in excess of 25 years and established a brand recognition and level of quality that four generations of diners have long considered the best within the Detroit area restaurant industry.

Jennifer and Joe W.
In 2004, Jennifer & Joe moved back to Detroit from Chicago. Both left very successful professional careers in the medical industry; Jennifer a nurse practitioner, and Joe, a physical therapist. They joined the family business and operated the Troy location for 4 years. In January of 2007, Jennifer & Joe, in conjunction with Anita & Pierre, began the development of the next generation of Anita's Kitchen. The Ferndale location was developed into what it is today and on January 2nd, 2008, the third Anita's Kitchen was opened and has been a well documented success ever since. Since its' inception, Anita's Kitchen Ferndale has overcome overwhelming odds, to thrive during the worst local, national & global economy since the Great Depression and continues to exceed expectations of both the local and regional levels. All of this success circles back to the original recipe set forth by Anita & Pierre, 'great food & great service offered at an excellent value'.
