Dr. Yaseen is originally from Palestine .
He attended medical school at the University of Jordan.
Dr. Yaseen was accepted into the Internal Medicine program at Wayne State University in Michigan.
His fascination with the complexity of the kidneys led him to pursue a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
He also holds a mini fellowship in Renal Ultrasound.
Dr. Yaseen is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Nephrology and has been practicing here in Des Moines since 2001.
Dr. Yaseen wants his patients to know that he practices all aspects of Nephrology including dialysis and kidney transplant.
His main Interests are chronic kidney disease and resistant hypertension.
He primarily practices in our Riverpoint office (formerly Known as Nephrology P.C) but also spends time in our Carroll, Iowa outreach clinic.
Dr. Yaseen is happily married with 4 great children.
His hobbies include racquetball and golf.
He also fluently speaks both English and Arabic.
Dr. Yaseen says his favorite things about Iowa are the friendly people and how clean and quiet it is here.
