He graduated from college in Cairo, Egypt, and received his medical degree from the Cairo University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt in 1983.
He completed his internship in Cairo, Egypt, and his residency training at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, North Dakota.
He completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular disease and Internal Medicine.
